COLSIBRO ®

COLSIBRO is a Copper Nickel Silicon alloy which offers a remarkable blend of properties at a non exotic price. The combination of strength, corrosion resistance, high conductivity, wear resistance, spark resistance, cryogenic properties and numerous other attributes has enabled COLSIBRO to find a place in every engineering field from electrical to mechanical and automotive to marine.

COLSIBRO develops its unique performance by heat treatment and is stocked in its fully precipitation hardened, heat treated condition. The alloy is always fully stress relieved in the hardened condition which means that close machining tolerances can be held.

Typical Mechanical Properties (Precipitation hardened)

Availability ex-stock: Round Rod ¼" to 8" diameter in metric and imperial sizes. Hexagon ¼" to 2" A/F. Squares from ¼" to 3". Other product forms and sizes available on request.

TROJAN ®

TROJAN is the ultimate copper nickel silicon alloy specially developed by careful control over alloy composition, fabrication and heat treatment to optimise high mechanical performance with electrical and thermal conductivity. TROJAN is a very high performance alloy with excellent service characteristics including high strength, hardness, low thermal expansion, high wear and galling resistance and good dimensional stability. These properties along with its good machinability make it a very viable alternative to beryllium copper.

TROJAN is capable of out-performing many alternative alloys in areas such as high performance engine valve guides, electrical connectors, bearing bushes, plunger tips for die casting, plastic injection mould inserts and tooling.
