S130

BS 2S130 is an austenitic grade of stainless steel stabilised with niobium to prevent carbide precipitation and inter-granular corrosion, especially in welded fabrications. It resists oxidation and scaling and is used up to 900°C for aerospace applications including aircraft exhaust manifolds and other elevated temperature applications.

The weldability of S130 is excellent and with no post weld heat treatment required it is particularly suitable for welded structures. Cold formability of the alloy is good.
